🎲 Three fun facts

Fresh picks every time you open ReCell 72!

💪 Why do this?

Good things researchers commonly talk about with fasting. Everyone's body is different — these are possibilities, not promises.

    🏆 History — Person 1

    Every finished fast, saved and synced for this person.

    💾 Your backup file

    This one file holds both people's settings and history. Save a copy somewhere safe (email it to yourself!). It lets you move to a new phone, a new host, or a new database — you are never locked in.

    ⚙️ Settings for Person 1

    Shows the friendly medication countdown for this person. Turn it on only if it applies to them.

    ☁️ Private sync (optional)

    ReCell 72 already works on this device with zero setup. Sync makes the same history appear on your iPad, your Android phone, and both phones. Your data goes to a free database that you own (Supabase) — never to Muse, never to Netlify, and never to a public page. Without signing in, nobody can read a single fast — not even with your app link.

    🔒 Private — login required, data is in your own cloud

    One-time setup (about 10 minutes, on any computer)

    1. Go to supabase.com, sign up free, and make a new project (call it “recell72”). Wait until it says it's ready.
    2. Open SQL Editor → New query, paste this exactly, and click Run:
    create table if not exists public.recell_state (
      sync_code text primary key,
      state jsonb not null,
      updated_at timestamptz not null default now()
    );

    alter table public.recell_state enable row level security;

    -- Only signed-in household accounts can read or write.
    -- The public "anon" key by itself gets NOTHING.
    create policy "household can read"
      on public.recell_state
      for select
      to authenticated
      using (true);

    create policy "household can insert"
      on public.recell_state
      for insert
      to authenticated
      with check (true);

    create policy "household can update"
      on public.recell_state
      for update
      to authenticated
      using (true)
      with check (true);
    1. Open Authentication → Users → Add user. Make an email + password account for each person who will use ReCell 72. Pick strong passwords.
    2. Open Project Settings → API. Copy the Project URL and the anon / publishable key into the boxes below. (That key is safe here only because the rules above block it until someone signs in.)
    3. Pick a household sync code — a secret phrase only your family uses. Type the same code on every device, and sign in on each one. That's it — sync is automatic, and the top of the app shows when it last synced.
    🧪 Quick sync test (30 seconds): tap 🔄 Sync now above — the message under the buttons tells you exactly whose names, which fast days, how many past fasts each person has, and whether a fast is in progress in your cloud copy right now — so after ending a fast on one phone, you can confirm it reached the cloud there, then watch it arrive on the other device. To test it fully: on one device, change a fast day or start a fast, tap Sync now there, then tap Sync now here — the new fast day should arrive, and a started fast should appear on Home already counting from its real start time (no need to start it again here). And rest easy: Sync can never stop a fast that's running on the device in your hand — only the End Fast button can, or ending that same fast on another device.
    🤫 Keep it private: don't share your app link together with your login. The link alone shows nothing — but link + password = your family's full history. Treat the sync code like a password too.

    📱 Take ReCell 72 with you

    Good news: ReCell 72 now carries its own bright home-screen icon — a teal renewal cell with a big “72” — built right into the app, so it comes along automatically when you install it below. No extra icon file to download or lose.

    1. Your own web address (Netlify): drag this single index.html file onto app.netlify.com/drop. The page may be reachable by link — your data never is. It stays on your devices and in your private cloud.
    2. iPad / iPhone: open your link in Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen.
    3. Android: open your link in Chrome → ⋮ menu → Add to Home screen.
    4. Windows computer: open your link in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome → click the install icon in the address bar (or open the ⋯ / ⋮ menu → Install ReCell 72). It then opens in its own window, with its own icon on your desktop and in the Start menu — just like a regular app.
    5. For the second person: send them the same link. They add it to their home screen and sign in with their own account. No Muse needed, ever. 💛

    ℹ️ About this app

    ReCell 72 · v1.7

    Now on v1.7 (October 9, 2026). If a phone, iPad, or tablet shows a different version number here, that device is running an older copy of the file — swap in the newest file and this number will match everywhere.

    🔢 How version numbers work here

    Every time a new feature gets added, the digit after the period goes up by one — 1.0 → 1.1 → 1.2 → 1.3 → 1.4 → 1.5 → 1.6 → 1.7, and so on. The big number before the period stays at 1 unless you say otherwise. Each new version gets its own dated entry in the Version History below, so you can always tell what changed and when.

    📜 Version History

    v1.7 Current
    October 9, 2026 — install on your Windows computer, tidy up old fasts
    ReCell 72 can now be installed as an app on a Windows computer, just like on your phone: open the page in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome and choose Install (the icon in the address bar, or the browser menu) — you get your own ReCell 72 window, plus an icon on the desktop and in the Start menu. In History, every finished fast now has a 🗑️ Delete button: remove old test fasts with one tap and a quick “are you sure?”, and the deletion syncs to your other devices, so a deleted fast stays deleted everywhere. And the fun facts on Home now come from a shuffled deck shared by all your devices — you won't see the same fact twice until the whole deck — now 100 facts strong — has been dealt.
    v1.6
    October 9, 2026 — Home is now your live fast screen
    Once your fast starts, Home shows the whole fast right there: the timer ring and time so far, time left to your goal, when you started and when your goal lands, what's happening in your body at this stage, your journey timeline, and the “Your body, lighting up” cards — plus the 48-hour extension box and End Fast, exactly as before, now on Home. The “Confirm — I've started my fast!” button disappears while you are fasting, and the separate My Fast tab is retired: the bottom bar is now just Home, History, and Settings. Tapping start when a fast is already running can never reset your start time or begin a second fast — it simply tells you your fast is already running. When no fast is running, Home keeps your countdowns and the start button, just as before.
    v1.5
    October 9, 2026 — simpler, cleaner Home page
    Removed the two big notes from the main page — the health note and the signed-in / sync banner — so Home opens straight to your countdowns and your fast. Nothing was lost: signing in, private sync, and last-synced details still live in Settings → Private sync, where they belong. Profiles, countdowns, timeline, history, sync, and icon are unchanged.
    v1.4
    October 9, 2026 — finished fasts now prove they travelled
    A finished fast saved on one device now reliably appears in History on the other: past fasts combine person-by-person using the start and end times of each fast — not just an ID made on one phone — so a fast ended on Android lands under the same person on iPad even when that iPad still has fresh “Person 1 / Person 2” starter profiles, and the same fast can never be counted twice. 🔄 Sync now also reports the past-fast count for each person by name (“Abhang: 1 past fast, Padmaja: 0 past fasts”), so you can see on the sending device that the fast reached your cloud copy, and on the receiving device that it arrived. Every v1.3 protection still stands: per-person settings stamps, original start times, no blind overwrite if the cloud can't be read, and Sync can still never stop a fast running on the device in your hand.
    v1.3
    October 8, 2026 — Sync can never stop a running fast
    Pressing 🔄 Sync now (or an automatic sync) can no longer stop, clear, or replace a fast that's running on the device in front of you. When you start a fast, Sync first saves that fast — with its real start time — into your cloud copy, then merges everything else around it, so an older cloud copy that doesn't know about your fast yet can't wipe it out. A running fast now only ever ends two ways: you tap End Fast, or that same fast was ended on another device and its finished record syncs over. Syncs also line up one at a time instead of stepping on each other, and the “Sync now” message now confirms that any fast running on this device is still going after the sync, with its original start time.
    v1.2
    October 8, 2026 — sync fix: fast days and live fasts now travel properly
    Each person's settings now sync on their own: the device that most recently saved that person's settings (name, fast day, medication pause) is the one other devices follow — so a fast-day change made on one phone (like the 15th → the 18th) now shows up on the others, even if an older copy was opened more recently. A fast started on one device now appears on the others with its real start time, so the clock keeps counting from when you actually started — and an already-finished fast can no longer spring back to life from a stale copy. “Sync now” now reports each person's fast day and whether a fast is in progress, so you can check all of this in seconds.
    v1.1
    October 8, 2026 — friendlier, self-checking sync
    Sync now merges instead of overwriting: a fresh device still showing “Person 1 / Person 2” can no longer replace real names saved on another device, past fasts from both devices combine, and a fast in progress is never lost. “Sync now” also reports exactly what your cloud copy holds — both names and the past-fast count — so you can check syncing in seconds.
    v1.0
    October 8, 2026 — first release
    Two separate profiles, dual monthly countdowns (medication pause + fast day), 3 fresh fun facts on every launch, a colorful 48-hour journey timeline with an optional +24-hour stretch to 72 hours, End Anytime saved to monthly history you can recall anytime, its own bright home-screen icon, private login-protected sync setup for iPad + Android + both phones, and one-tap export/import backup — all in a single file you own.
